Washing
The best way to wash cashmere is to use your washing machine's wool or delicate hand-wash cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Please use a special cashmere detergent or a liquid wool detergent. The spin cycle should not exceed 600 revolutions per minute. Remove the cashmere item from the drum immediately after the cycle ends. Leaving it damp in the machine for an extended period may cause felting and shrinkage.
Use a dedicated cashmere detergent or liquid wool detergent sparingly. This helps prevent felting or surface roughness and preserves the natural protective layer of the wool fibers. Place no more than 2–3 cashmere pieces in the machine per wash and wash only similar colors together. Bleach, fabric softener, and general-purpose detergents must be avoided.
Drying
Lay your cashmere flat on a towel to dry (never hang it) and gently reshape it beforehand. If your dryer has a wool finish program, you may pre-dry the cashmere for 4–6 minutes to help the fibers lift and recover.
Ironing
Avoid direct, heavy contact with the iron whenever possible. A gentler method is to glide a steam iron lightly over the garment without applying pressure. You may also use a damp cloth to carefully steam it.
Pilling
We use only high-quality, long-staple yarns; however, depending on use and friction, small bobbles may still form on the surface. This is called pilling. All natural yarns pill— though less so over time as the shorter, loose fibers work their way out. These small pills can be easily removed with a cashmere comb or fabric shaver, or by gently plucking them off by hand, ideally when the garment is lying flat after washing. Some minor pills detach naturally during washing.
Storage
Always store your cashmere garments flat to maintain their shape. Fold sweaters and knit coats loosely and place them in your wardrobe. Lavender sachets or cedarwood blocks help protect against moths.
Stains
Do not soak or brush the item, as this can cause felting. Apply a small amount of shampoo to the stain and then wash the garment on the wool cycle in the machine.
Hand Washing
If hand washing is unavoidable, please follow these guidelines: Wash the cashmere briefly in lukewarm water. Do not rub the fabric. Rinse thoroughly. Gently press out excess water—do not wring—and wrap the garment in a dry towel. Lay it flat to dry.
